This past week I’ve watched my three-year-old son go down with a severe case of chicken pox, only to bounce back unscathed within days. The human body is truly incredible. Amazingly, over the period he was healing he spent a full two days purely resting and refusing all food (including his remaining easter eggs!) except for his favourite fruit and veg. Somehow, he knows exactly what he needs, as we all do if we dig deep.
So this week, try eating consciously. Eat what you know is good for you. No complicated plans, scales or calories, just listen honestly to your gut (excuse the pun). You know when enough is enough, what you should and shouldn’t touch and when it’s ok to treat yourself. Decide consciously what you need in each moment in order to live in good health and with alignment – mind, body and soul.
